On my journey home I chose to document the journey through reflections within the glass window, which blended the outdoors with the indoors, the stationary and the moving. Exploring the idea of windows being a symbol of a civilised boundary, dividing us from the elements, and the out from the in.

THE DERIVE
I spun a penny onto a map of Epsom, drew a line around the circumference once it stopped and then explored that area. Through photography I attempted to capture a different view point of the environment, instead of the familiar eye level view point which blends all high streets into one uniform image. My intention was to find some beauty in the mundane suburban environment.

THE UNCANNY
The Uncanny explores the supernatural, the uneasy, the uncertain. It is a confusion of reality. It blends the familiar and the unfamiliar in a way which alienates you. It creates confusion and anxiety. It distorts and reworks things we are uncomfortable with into the reassuring. The Uncanny redesigns our ideas of trust and faith in things we feel we know.
